I received a Smith & Noble catalog in the mail yesterday, and as I was flipping through it I spotted a Rhodia pad. A woman was using it to design her own window treatments. Her design was laid out very nicely on the grid.
When Lori and I were preparing to move, we laid out various furniture and decorating schemes room-by-room on a Rhodia pad. Neither one of us has any design or artistic skills, but the grid helped us map out a plan with some accuracy.
Have you used a Rhodia grid or dot grid pad for any home improvement, decorating or renovation projects?
Quilting patterns. I have used it to design blocks and whole quilts with the grids.
