Back Pocket

Two years ago, the U.S. got rid of the back pocket for the Rhodia Weekly Planners.  Between the cost of materials and the fact they are applied by hand in a US facility, keeping the back pocket would have added too much to the cost of the book to make them competitive.  A number of people wrote to us expressing their disappointment, and asking for a return of the pocket, saying they would pay whatever to keep it.

Do you use the back pocket in journals and other notebooks?  If so, what do you use it to store or carry?  Do cards, notes and other materials in the pocket make the pages “lumpy” for writing?  Does anyone hate a back pocket?

Thank you for your feedback.

  1. Thank you all for taking the time to comment! The majority seemed to like having a back pocket, and this is good to know for the future. For now, at DIY solution like the one mentioned by Marcia will need to be implemented, since we do not have back pockets for sale separately.
