A Very Noteworthy Ink: Emerald of Chivor

Everywhere I turn, I’ve been seeing photo after photo and review after review of the most recent addition to the J. Herbin Anniversary ink family, Emerald of Chivor. (There are already 433 images on Instagram tagged with #emeraldofchivor!)

“Stunning ink! A rich, vibrant emerald green base, with a beautiful sheen, and gold particles. ” Ink Shot Review J. Herbin 1670 Emerald of Chivor at Gourmet Pens

“First things first, this ink oozes quality. It feels beautifully smooth and lubricated from the pen.” Ink Review: J Herbin 1670 Emerald of Chivor by Chrissy at Fountain Pen Geeks

“I love that even without noticing the gold or sheen, the colour of the ink itself is this beautiful, dark, rich color.” J. Herbin 1670 Anniversary Ink Emeraude de Chivor (Emerald of Chivor) at Wonder Pens – Inspiration for a Writing Life

“…I was immediately impressed with how prominent the gold flecks were in the ink.  They showed up beautifully, and the ink produced an incredibly gorgeous color with nice shading.” Ink Review: J. Herbin 1670 Emerald of Chivor from The Desk of Lori

“What sold me was the brilliant red sheen that makes the ink look like it glowed when the light hits it just so.” j herbin 1670 emerald of chivor review at Four Fifty Two

Have you tried this ink yet? What do you think of it?

  1. I absolutely adore the color, and with my Noodler’s Neponset and Tomoe River paper, the sheen and sparkle is much more noticable than with the Stormy Gray…I love it!

  2. It’s a fantastic ink, I just had the opportunity to test it and it’s really amazing, with wonderful quality !
