Tuesday Talk Back: Ethical Shopping – How much does it matter to you?

Stephanie

Clairefontaine

Which ethical considerations are most important to you when you shop? Are you strict to those rules, or do you allow them to bend if and when time or price is a concern?

Clairefontaine is currently the only European manufacturer making its own paper for its own products. This guarantees not only consistent quality, but also controls the environmental impact of the manufacturing process.

  • Materials sourced from certified sustainable forests
  • Better manufacturing processes
  • No bleaching
  • Natural inks
  • We supply most of our own energy
  • Commitment to waste reduction and recycling

(Note: Rhodia paper is manufactured by Clairefontaine. What’s the difference? The paper in Clairefontaine products is all 90g and bright white. Rhodia papers are either white 80g or Ivory 90g with one exception: The paper in the Rhodia Meeting book 90 is 90g.)

  1. Thank you for this post. Ethical consideration is important for me. Though if I really can´t find a product that I really want, I will order it from far away.
