Rhodia, Pencil Drawings, and Zombies

What’s up with all the zombies? I mean, they’re everywhere. On tv’s The Walking Dead, in the Resident Evil movie series, in books like Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and games such as Left 4 Dead. I first took real notice of them in George Romero’s 1978 classic Dawn of the Dead and in Micheal Jackson’s 1982 Thriller video, (Remember when Mtv played it every hour on the hour?) and while there have been plenty of zombie movies since that time, it’s been with the last 5 years or so that it seems like the two hottest things have been zombies and sparkly vampires.

Are you a Walking Dead fan? Have any favorite zombie movies? Mine are Shaun of the Dead and Serpent and the Rainbow.

If you’ve never played with the Walking Dead’s “Dead Yourself” app, it’s fun to make yourself look like a zombie. (Yep, that’s me!) Top image courtesy of Quentinsi on Instagram
