I discovered Tiffany Reisz, author of the widely popular erotica series, “The Original Sinners” extolling the virtues of Rhodia while searching for fans on Twitter. After a few tweets back and forth with Tiffany, (with a Rhodia literally sitting by her side ) she told methat after a fan had gifted her with a Montblanc, Rhodia is the only paper that makes her feel like she’s actually writing with a $500 pen in her hand. Her preference is for the large side-stapled notebooks which she claims are perfect for her big handwriting. She also mentioned writer’s bloc, and how making the switch from working on a computer to pen and paper “Get’s the creative juices flowing.” (I hear you on that one!)
A self-professed office supply lunatic, Tiffany edited and contributed a story to the e-book Felt Tips, a charity anthology of office-supply-related erotica (sex on desks and in supply closets and using bubble wrap to tie someone up, etc). with each of the authors having donated their stories and all profits going to a charity to help fund classrooms in underprivileged schools.
From her website, “Tiffany Reisz is the author of the highly acclaimed series The Original Sinners. Slightly shameless, Tiffany dropped out of a conservative Southern seminary in order to pursue a career as a writer. This move, while possibly putting her eternal salvation in peril, has worked out better than she anticipated. She lives in Lexington, Kentucky, and has five piercings, one tattoo and has been arrested only twice. When not under arrest, Tiffany writes erotica and erotic romance and is diligent in doing all her own research, and lives and writes by the erotica writer’s creed: it’s not erotica until someone gets hurt.”
(I haven’t read erotica since the late 80’s when I’d raided my gram’s closet for her bag of Harlequin novels. Each of Tiffany’s books has an average 4-5 star rating with hundreds of reviews on Amazon… Maybe it’s time I revisited that genre?)
