Thank You Letters

Am I the only person that struggles to write a thank you note/letter? It was uncomfortable as a child when your parents made you do it but shouldn’t it have grown easier over time? Or maybe it’s just become too easy  pick up the phone, send an e-mail or even, *gasp* send a thank you text.

Could the avoidance of the thank you letter have to do with social awkwardness? I mean think about it – you receive a thoughtful (or maybe not so thoughtful) gift from a relative that doesn’t really know you. Anything you write is likely to feel uncomfortable. “Dear Aunt Mildred, Thank you ever so much for the floppy singing wall-mountable electronic fish. I’m sure I will love and cherish it for decades to come.”

Do you have any tips to make this process easier? Please do share…

Maybe I’ll find a few pointers here: How to Write a Thank You Note
