Which Social Networking or Social Media Sites do you use?

Stephanie

I probably spend more time on Facebook than any other social site, but I’m also on Twitter, Flickr, YouTube, Linked in, Tumblr, Pinterest, etc. The sites where I probably share the most content are Facebook and Twitter- especially since I found the Flipboard app for iPhones & iPads – an app that makes discovering and sharing new and interesting content extremely simple. Since we are going to be doing a bit of a blog redesign, we are hoping you will help us learn how to make our blog as interactive as possible.

Which are your favorite social sites for sharing content? For discovering content? Do you use an aggregate type of app like Flipboard to discover new content? Any comments would be extremely helpful.

  1. I try to limit my exposure to “social” networking, so I’m only a Flipboard and LinkedIn user. It would be nice if your design wasn’t over reliant upon social media connections. I enjoy reading your articles on a plain old RSS reader. I does the job well and if I want more detail, I can always click through to a browser to read without having to log in to this and that and give away my data. Please keep your site enjoyable and easy to read. That’s what keeps me coming back for more.

  3. Twitter mostly, Tumblr, Posterous, Blogspot (handily, Posterous will send the same thing to the two either side of it). Flickr for photos, Facebook for keeping in touch with family.

Oh, and G+. Just wish more people were on it.

  5. This days mainly on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and some occasional Flickr.

I have the same struggles as others mention. Social media can be fun, but it also gets me sucked in.

That being said–it’s also how I find out about great new paper and pen products!

I find that there are too many time thiefs out there so I spend my mainly on FB. Cyber space can just get too insane and suck up too much of my precious time.
