When was the last time you gave someone a handwritten love letter? Received a love letter? Rediscovered a love letter that someone had sent you from many years ago? Are your love letters filled with sappy sweet nothings pledging your love or do you call upon the words of famous poets to help convey your message?
25 years ago when my husband and I were first dating, I’d fill pages of decorated stationery pledging my love for him. Not so many years later they would morph into fewer words like “I love you sweetie” or something similar written on small pieces of paper that we’d stick into each other’s lunchboxes. In more recent years I think the frequency of our love letters has become limited to the occasional “I’m sorry ima jerk” kind that sometimes follows a petty argument which left someone’s feelings hurt.
As a relationship grows over time and you become more familiar with one another, do you find it easier or more of a challenge to put your feelings for your loved one down on paper?
Very nice and love the picture. Do you find writing with this pen and ink to be superior?
