One of the most requested Webbie upgrades was for the removal of the Rhodia logo from every page- to which we complied. Interestingly enough, we recently received a message from a customer asking that the logo be put back.
Do you want the logo back? It didn’t really bother me until I read that people were distracted by it. I was so happy to even have a hard cover Rhodia product that I somewhat overlooked it.
And in the spirit of the upcoming holiday….
(Image above compares the paper color of a Moleskine to a Webbie.)
I agree that the logo should stay off of the pages. I prefer a completely blank (unruled) page, and find the logo distracting. It belongs on the cover. I don’t mind the word “rhodia” creeping in to my thoughts when I’m looking at the cover (yes that’s my rhodia notebook) but not when I’m doing thoughtful and creative writing on the actual pages.
Love the notebook nonetheless.

Hijacking the thread! You may decide the post is inappropriate for many reasons. I’ll understand.
Speaking of logos, have you seen the kerfuffle over on Moleskinerie’s Facebook page about their logo contest? There has been a huge reaction among Moleskine’s customers against the contest. It is a kind of competition that has been regarded as unethical for many years by professional designers organizations.
Please, oh please don’t try something that lame at Clairefontaine or Rhodia.

I liked it and would very much like to see it put back.

Unlike the others I don’t think the logo is that bad. I could go either way…I don’t really have an opinion one way or the other. Let the majority rule:)

No logo!
The pull of the Habana is already too great, don’t push me off the edge!!!
(who am I kidding, I currently buy and use both, and I’ll continue to regardless)
