Sources of Inspiration?

Stephanie

Where do you go for inspiration? I like to look at pictures painted by my favorite artists Paul Klee & Wassily Kandinsky, listen to music that soothes or grooves, and see what my creative friends are up to on Facebook. I subscribe to the Daily Om, look through my favorite Flickr groups or browse Etsy, a website of all things handmade. I will also occasionally pull out one of my older journals to see how far I have come.

What works for you?

  1. Oni, That’s your body and brain’s way of telling you to slow down, forgive yourself, and take some stress out of your life. Schedule [and KEEP] some time to yourself. Try for more rest and begin emptying your life a little to leave room for things to come into it. Small things you enjoy can be the first step.

  3. That is a very good question! As of late I have been struggling to get inspired due to too much stress and too little time.
I will browse through Flickr, or try and read the blogs I follow, but still inspiration doesn’t want to come.
Has any of you had this experience? Any suggestions??? Please???

  5. Great topic. I am inspired by colors, particularly teal, interior design and pop art. Colorful everyday objects tend to stoke my creative fires.
