Quotable Quotes

Stephanie

When I was young and my Mom had a subscription to Reader’s Digest magazine, I never understood the “Quotable Quotes” section. I guess maybe I wasn’t yet old enough to recognize profound wisdom in bite-sized pieces.

My all-time favorite quote is-  “That which does not kill us makes us stronger.” by Friedrich Nietzsche, but I think I may have recently discovered another one just as powerful this past Saturday while visiting my friend Becky in Johnstown, PA. She had a handmade card that a friend had given her upon returning from a trip to India. The quote, which was told to her by someone she met in India is: “There’s nowhere you can be that isn’t where you were meant to be…” Ahhhhhhhhh. That just feels so good to me! It’s like the old, “Everything happens for a reason.” but being more in tune and specific with your physical location. I love it!

I like to take my favorite quotes and note them in my journal which seems to solidify their meaning in my mind. Will you share one of your favorite quotes with us?

    Abraham Maslow

If you find a job you love you will never have to work again.
    Winston Churchill
