Product Spotlight: New Blank Habana Journals from Quo Vadis

New developments on the Habana front! The small 4×6 3/8″ Habana (which I’ve always referred to as the “Baby” Habana) is new & improved. There is now a blank version available with the 90g Clairefontaine paper  – the same paper found in the large version. For the doodlers among us, Wheeee!

Due to the addition of the thicker paper, the number of pages (in the small blank version) has been reduced from 96 to 80, but to me, this is a fair swap. Exaclair had been receiving feedback that the 64g wasn’t fountain pen friendly enough, and so Voila! They changed it, and yet the book size stays the same. The  new 6×9″ blank version will maintain the same number of pages (80) as the lined version. There is also the addition of a  ribbon book mark.

The blank version will be available in two new colors-  Green (think lime) and Raspberry, and will also be available in Black and Red.

  1. Looks like it would make a fine pocket sketchbook alternative to the small Moleskine with the added advantages of having the superior performance of the 90g Clairefontaine paper, slightly larger working area, and 4 color options for the covers.

  3. I do have both! I have all of both, in every color (except a select few that are backordered). There’s really not a HUGE difference between the two journals in the small versions, except the cover colors and page color (white in Habana, ivory in Webbie). Both are great, comparably priced, and it’s hard to go wrong with either.

  5. Habana is bright white. Webbie is off-white. Both are 90g Habana covers are semi-flexible if that makes a difference. The Raspberry Habana is pretty! Black Webbies are very popular.
