After finding the image above in our Rhodia Drive Flickr Photo Pool, I sent Wink a message asking her to tell me more…
“That photo is of a stack of my father’s pads, rather than my own. For as long as I can remember, my dad has carried a Rhodia No. 11 (grid) in his shirt or jacket pocket, but that may have been the first time I’d ever spotted a “graveyard” of spent blocs. I never before thought about where they went once filled up. When I consider how long he’s carried one, and how frequently he uses it, I have to assume that the dozen I quickly photographed with my iPhone are merely the tip of an orange iceberg.”
