BLANK PAD, OUR WEEKLY FORUM POST

Welcome to Blank Pad,  a forum to discuss topics about our latest products, your comments and themes related to our obsessions – pen, paper and such.  Today, we’d like to know:

What is your favorite writing instrument?  Pencil, fountain pen, mechanical pencil, sharpie, Pilot G2…?
Do you carry it around with you or leave it at home?

  1. If I take the time to set up my writing scene, I’ll go with a pen that suits–fountain favorite is an old blue Rotring–can’t remember the style name.

Otherwise, my constant companion is a Pilot RexGrip .5 ballpoint. Durable, fine enough point, reliable, ready in a tick.

I love writing instruments, but bottom line, want to be able to write with them without having to be too too careful because while what I use is certainly important to me, what I have to say is even more so.

  3. i am a pen minimalist! i like pilot EasyTouch ball points (fine), or muji gel-points in 0.38 mm. both are cheap so that i can lose them at my job without stressing over it too much! because i will.

  5. I just ordered my first fountain pen. I can’t afford anything too expensive. I got a Lamy med point, the clear one where you can see inside of it. I don’t remember what it’s called. Any thoughts would be helpful. Right now I’m just going to buy the ink cartridges instead of geting a converter. Maybe it will come instructions about how to care for it.
