They say everyone’s Irish on St. Patrick’s Day. And in Chicago, that could mean literally. Well, almost. Just ask Mayor Rich Daley. This year’s actual celebration falls on a Monday, the 17th of March. But as early as March 9, the whole city was already in a festive mood starting with the South Side parade. It reached its apex on the 15th day of the first month of Spring, with another parade, in downtown Chicago, complete with coloring green of the Chicago River, a custom that can bring a smile to everyone, even St. Patrick himself. Happy St. Patrick’s Day to everyone!
